PAWEN unveils Africa’s largest digital summit and awards to advance women-led innovation and leadership across Africa

Women are building Africa’s economic future as founders, leaders, and innovators. Yet, many still need better ways to gain digital visibility and reach new markets.

The Pan African Women Empowerment Network (PAWEN) is addressing this through its upcoming PAWENpreneur Awards & Summit 2025. Powered by Nugi Technologies, a leading African technology firm providing innovative solutions that help businesses compete globally, the initiative will empower both women entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to gain visibility, connect with investors, and expand their impact across the continent.

This year’s hybrid event is set to be Africa’s largest digital exhibition and awards celebrating women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders driving innovation across industries.

The event will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, starting with the Digital Summit & Exhibition at 9:00 AM WAT (Online), followed by the Awards Gala Dinner at 4:00 PM WAT at The Zone, Gbagada, Lagos, Nigeria.

While the digital summit is free to attend with registration, paid tickets are available online for the Awards Gala Dinner.

“Empowerment is about giving access,” said Oluwaseyi Kehinde-Peters, Founder of PAWEN. “Our partnership with Nugi Technologies allows us to build a digital bridge, giving women entrepreneurs and leaders the chance to be seen and connected to opportunities on a massive scale.”

Nugi Technologies, one of Africa’s most innovative technology firms, continues to empower organizations to operate efficiently and scale sustainably through its suite of intelligent products, including Q-Loop, a workflow and productivity optimization tool; Syncventory, an inventory and supply-chain management system; 360Gov, a comprehensive revenue management and e-governance platform; and other digital infrastructure solutions.

“This collaboration goes beyond a simple sponsorship; it’s a strategic alliance rooted in a shared dedication to digital inclusion, visibility, and market access,” said Ajoke Akinlabi, Chief Executive Officer, Nugi Technologies. “Supporting PAWEN means making a direct investment in a future where African women’s innovation and leadership are visible and celebrated. We are proud to power this initiative and help businesses connect and scale.”

The event comprises three segments: a virtual summit, a digital exhibition, and a hybrid Awards Gala event.

The Summit will feature high-impact panel discussions, thought-provoking keynote sessions, and dynamic networking opportunities where women in entrepreneurial, middle, and senior management roles can engage directly with investors, potential board members, and executive-level recruiters from across Africa. Exciting giveaways and exclusive gift opportunities will also be available throughout the summit.

The Digital Exhibition will showcase innovative female entrepreneurs and business leaders from over 39 African countries. Whether you aim to reach new customers, attract global talent, or secure investors, this is a great opportunity for businesses to:

  • Reach buyers and partners across Africa
  • Connect with investors and collaborators
  • Expand your visibility and influence

The Awards Gala, a prestigious hybrid celebration of excellence, will honour the continent’s most influential, innovative, and impactful women across sectors. Hosted in a world-class venue and streamed live to a global audience, the gala will feature inspiring stories of leadership and resilience, high-profile presenters, cultural performances, and curated networking moments.

The dress code for the evening is African Glam.
