FoundryforHER Bootcamp Empowers Over 100 Women Entrepreneurs in Nigeria

More than 100 Nigerian women entrepreneurs have received strategic support, skills, and global exposure following the completion of the FoundryforHER Bootcamp, an initiative designed to accelerate women-led innovation and strengthen the competitiveness of female-owned startups across emerging markets.

Supported by inDrive’s Aurora Tech Award and The Nest Innovation and Technology Park, the program gathered women-led ventures from sectors including technology, agriculture, fashion, education, and health for intensive capacity building sessions, pitch development training, mentorship, and access to fundraising pathways tailored to the realities of women in business.

The two-week bootcamp focused strongly on scalability and social impact, aligning with the mission of the Aurora Tech Award to recognise women founders delivering real-world solutions through innovation.

Participants described the experience as transformational, noting growth in storytelling, pitching maturity, business structure, and investor readiness.

“There was so much strength in community and real value gained from communicating our message clearly to developing fundraising strategies and strengthening personal branding,” one of the participants said.

Following the bootcamp, the founders will continue with a two-week post-programme mentorship led by accomplished ecosystem leaders and entrepreneurs, with the aim of deepening execution, growth, and market positioning.

The initiative aligns with the global reach of the Aurora Tech Award, which received over 2,000 applications from 116 countries for its 2025 edition, demonstrating the rising global demand for women-led African innovation.

According to organisers at The Nest Innovation and Technology Park, the initiative reinforces their commitment to supporting female innovation and expanding access for women founders across Africa.

Applications for the next cohort are now open until 12 November 2025, giving more Nigerian women entrepreneurs the opportunity to scale globally competitive ventures through the FoundryforHER initiative.
