In a world where influence is often measured by numbers, platforms, and applause, Dr. Nellie Kangwa reminds us that legacy is measured by lives.
This April, she returns to the stage of the 7th Annual Real Woman Summit (RWS)—not just as a celebrated leader, author, and visionary, but as a mother, mentor, and spiritual midwife ushering in a generational shift.
This year’s summit isn’t business as usual. It’s deeply personal.
A Celebration of Wholeness
“God is taking us back to the beginning,” Dr. Kangwa shares, seated with quiet strength in the garden of her Lusaka home. “Before pulpits and podcasts, there was the family. Before platforms, there was purpose.”
The 2025 edition of RWS is themed “A Year for Family”—and it comes at a deeply sacred time. Sandwiched between the official conference dates is a private event titled Bride’s Blessing Day, an intimate ceremony celebrating her only daughter’s upcoming marriage.
“It’s more than a wedding,” she says, her eyes shining. “It’s a generational altar. A moment to speak life, identity, and legacy over my daughter—not just as her mother, but as her spiritual guide.”
From Birthdays to Breakthroughs
RWS began in 2018—not as a grand idea, but as a birthday offering. “Every April, I asked God what I could give, not just receive. The summit was His answer,” she reflects. “What started as a small gathering has become a prophetic movement—calling women into healing, leadership, and holy identity.”
Over the years, each summit has carried a divine theme:
- 2019 honored the spiritual patriarchs who spoke revival into Zambia’s daughters.
- 2021 lifted the matriarchs who warred in prayer and paved paths through resistance.
- 2022 saw the launch of Transitioning to the Courts of Heaven, shifting deliverance culture from emotionalism to divine legal access.
- 2023 met real needs—addressing menstrual health, albinism, and economic justice.
- 2024 gave birth to Boardroom to Bedroom—a best-selling call to balance power with intimacy, and ambition with emotional integrity.
Each year, RWS became less of a conference and more of a movement.
Leading While Loving
This year’s focus is a return to what matters most.
“So many women are celebrated publicly but crumbling privately,” Dr. Kangwa says candidly. “You can have a title and still feel tired. You can have impact and still feel invisible at home. That’s not the life God intended.”
Bride’s Blessing Day, she explains, is symbolic—not just for her daughter but for women everywhere who’ve carried the weight of leadership and sacrifice. “This is about restoring joy, restoring rhythm, restoring the home.”
